An exciting new flavor from Mae Ploy! This makes one of the most authentic, fantastic-tasting Thai sour soups we've ever tasted. It's also a low-fat Thai curry, as it does not require coconut milk (the other flavors do). This takes a bit of time to prepare, but it's worth the effort. The recipe is printed on the label, and you can modify to suit your taste. Start by cooking 1/2 lb fish or prawns in a bit of oil, remove and place in Thai mortar and pestle. Pound the fish together with approx 2 oz sour vegetable curry paste. Place into 2 cups water, boil, then add vegetables of your choice (we like fresh mustard green, broccoli, green beans) cook until soft. Add a few teaspoons (to suit your taste) of tamarind concentrate. Ingredients: shallot, salt, dried red chile, shrimp paste, tamarind, citric acid. Product of Thailand.
