Organic Rice, White Jasmine, 2.2 lbs
For years we've wanted to offer pure organic Thai jasmine rice, and it's finally here in a nice 2.2 lb package, for a very reasonable price. This rice has organic certification that complies with USDA and European standards.

We love the rich jasmine aroma and great taste of this premium rice. The finest pure jasmine grain is used on the organic farm producing this exclusive product. Rice doesn't get any better than this.

Sawat-D brand organic rice is grown in Northeastern Thailand (Esan region) in fertile soil, norished with natural rain water, void of chemical fertilizers and pesticides. A natural choice for the health conscious and ecologically-friendly.

Securely vacuum packed to seal in the wonderful flavor and nutrients. We have a limited supply of this rice. We offer a full satisfaction guarantee, and we especially want our regular customers to have a chance to enjoy it. Ingredients: 100% organically grown rice. Product of Thailand.

Organic Rice, Brown Jasmine, 2.2 lbs
Grown on the same certified organic farm as our white jasmine rice above, this brown jasmine rice has not gone through the final stage of polishing, so it still contains the outer layer of rice bran. In addition to lowering cholesterol, the rice bran gives the rice a light tan color and oat-like flavor. You will need to cook it a bit longer than white jasmine rice, and add a bit more water.

We like mixing 30% brown rice with 70% white rice and cooking it together.

Ingredients: 100% organically grown rice. Product of Thailand.
2.2 lbs $6.89
Buy 3 $18.95
Summer Treat: De De brand Instant Thai Tea 3 in 1
3 in 1 is the most popular way of making Thai tea and coffee at home in Thailand these days, using packets like this which include cream and sugar.

This tea tastes great over ice, we served this at a summer party in the traditional Thai tall glass container shown here, and offered here. Everyone loves this tea over ice.

This is $2 under our regular price and also, below our cost price. We are just offering it as a promotion to get you familiar with the nice flavor.

Made by premium Por Kwan company in Thailand. This can also be enjoyed hot. Put one pack into a cup and add 10 oz hot water, stir and enjoy hot or with ice. The final product is a nice amber/orangish color just like the original. A mix of Thai tea powder, sugar, and non-dairy creamer. Ingredients: instant Thai tea, sugar, (glucose, palm kernel oil, casein), artificial color, vanilla flavor. Product of Thailand.

We also offer instant Thai coffee 3 in 1.

Back in Stock: Fresh Harvest Tiny Eggplant
We've been out of stock for a few months, and we now have a new shipment of tiny egplant that was just harvested, and very fresh.

There are a few types of eggplant commonly found in Thai curry recipes, and we are especially fond of the "tiny" size. Thai tiny eggplant are available fresh in the USA only on a rare seasonal basis at a premium price. We are pleased to offer these which are grown and packed in Thailand, and they are remarkably delicious. The eggplants retain nice green color, and they are so firm they pop in your mouth just like they're fresh off the vine.

Our favorite recipe that uses tiny eggplant is gaeng kiaow wan gai. Ingredients: eggplant, water, salt. lactic acid, sodium benzoate, sodium metabisulfite. Product of Thailand.

Back in Stock: Mangosteen in Syrup
Canned mangosteen has been out of stock for almost a year, due to short harvest and strong demand for mangosteen. We finally got a new shipment of premium quality Aroy-D brand, and it's just beautiful with pack date of May 19, 2009. So this is about as fresh as it gets for canned mangosteen.

Mangosteen has what many people say is the most delicious flavor of all Thai fruits, it's extremely sweet and fragrant. It's been said that in the 19th century Queen Victoria loved it so much that she offered a knighthood to anyone who could bring edible mangosteen to England, but in those days long transit and spoilage prevented anyone from getting the prize. Now you can have it delivered to your door at a very reasonable price. Mangosteen is great served in a large bowl full of ice cubes. See mangosteen as part of our entertaining look at a Thai public market. Now you can find it in trendy bars as a popular ingredient in various cocktails.

Ingredients: mangosteen (49.5%), water, sugar, citric acid. Product of Thailand.

Thai Sticky Rice Wood Paddle
When we made our Thai sticky rice street vendor video, some customers commented on the useful wooden paddle used by the chef to separate and knead the rice. We've imported some of these from Thailand, and we're pleasantly surprised at the nice size and overall quality of it.

The paddle can be used for all sorts of mixing of ingredients, and for those who just like to have a wood paddle around.

It's 16" long, handle has 7/8" diameter, and the paddle is 2.5" wide. Product of Thailand.

Mushroom Ginger Sauce, Maxchup
This is a brand new arrival, a fresh sauce just developed by Maxchup. The flavor is gentle, Chinese-style with the unmistakable flavor of Thai ginger. Use it for just about anything, either as a sauce to fry vegetable or add it to flavor your soup, or even as a dipping sauce. We enjoyed this sauce heated then served over udon noodles. Something similar from the same company: extra hot garlic chile sauce. Ingredients: soy sauce, sugar, vinegar, mushroom, ginger, starch, disodium inosinate, guanylate, sodium benzoate. Product of Thailand. See our recipe for Thai ginger chicken.
