Thai Street Vendor Prepares Kanom Krok
This video filmed on location in Kanchanaburi, Thailand. When people visit Thailand, invariably they comment about the abundance of street vendors. Often Khanom Krok is mentioned as a favorite street vendor food. Sweet coconut puffy pancakes stuck together for just a few pennies each. Watch this husband/wife team prepare it in Thailand.

Kanom Krok Pan - Hand Made Cast Iron
The pan is heavy (about 10 lbs), solid cast-iron. No two are the identical, every pan is hand-poured cast iron. Made entirely by hand in Thailand using an ancient and labor-intensive process called 'Sand Casting'.
A sand mold is created for each and every pan. Molten iron is then poured into the mold cavity via a passageway created through the packed sand. Once the iron solidifies, the hardened sand is broken away to release the casting, and any excess iron not a part of the finished piece is trimmed or ground off.
Hard to find flawless Kanom Krok pans now and will become more difficult in the future, as industry moves away from this technique.

Handmade Thai Heavy Cleaver
This is a serious, heavy-duty handmade cleaver in a traditional design, and a great value. Should last forever. Total weight is 22 oz (nearly 1.5 lb) because the high quality steel is really thick, but also well-balanced.
The thickness of the steel is about 3/16". Length is 12". Wood handle is 4.5" long, nicely-shaped, firmly attached with rustic steel pins. Blade is 7.5" long, 3.5" high.

Thai Fried Garlic, All Natural
Very high quality fried garlic from Aroy-D. Fresh and fragrant. Large container will go a long way.
Sprinkle these fried garlic bits on top of all Asian soups and noodles. Thai garlic is especially aromatic, and adds fragrance as well as flavor. Fragrance is a critical element of Thai cooking, and this product is a delightful addition to not only a wide variety of Thai recipes but also European and American recipes.

Shrimp Flavor Crushed Chilli - Mae Pranom
In Thai this is called 'Namprik Narok' which means spicy like hell.
Loaded with flavor: a combination of salty and spicy, from dried shrimp and crushed chilli peppers, with a hint of sesame too.
This elegant, spicy mix is the secret ingredient in our oustanding Ladna recipe.
