|Mae Ploy Brand Pad Thai Sauce
In October 2014 we received a message about this product from one of our longterm customers:
"I served Pad Thai at a wedding event on our property for about 100 people. Well, I only had enough bean sprouts for 4 servings (2 bags of dried rice noodles), so the noodles were only a side dish. The event was fully catered, but it appears my Pad Thai (cooked on the fantastic outdoor wok burner I purchased from you) was the hit of the event. There was a big crowd of folks watching me cook the noodles, and everybody got a serving to go with their BBQ pulled pork, fried potatoes, etc., etc.
There appeared to be a general consensus that (a) your Mae Pranom Brand Pad Thai Sauce is the best anywhere (even better than when I make it from dried tamarind -- and a LOT easier) and (b) the outdoor show-and-tell with the Thai Gas Burner & Wok Stand on the patio a great combination. Those who were familiar with Pad Thai thought the noodles were great, and those who were previously unfamiliar now know that Pad Thai is very good.
We have an excellent wok burner and large vent in our kitchen, but doing it sidewalk-and-street-vendor style made it perfect for me and for the crowd of guests. The only complaint was that there was not nearly enough noodles for everybody.

Mae Ploy Pad Thai sauce allows you to create an authentic Pad Thai (see recipe) in less time than it takes to make from scratch.
There are instructions on the jar, but we feature a method below that creates a brilliant Pad Thai using this sauce.
Just opening the wide-mouth lid gives a wonderful tamarind-ishly sour, sweet salty aroma. This is packed in a large glass jar for generous use, with a nice and wide opening because the sauce is thick.
For fun we put some of this sauce in a dish, added a bit of water to thin it out, then poured that over regular spaghetti noodles--for a nice result.
Ingredients: palm sugar, shallot, water, fish sauce, soy bean oil, vinegar, tamarind, red chilli, salted radish, dried shrimp, salt. No preservatives.
