Thai Street Vendor Offers Chinese Herbal Soup from a Shophouse Cart

This vendor is part of our comprehensive report on the outstanding food finds in Bangkok's Saochingcha area.

On the side of the building where incredibly delicious noodles are served, this guy cooks up a daily special, prepared in the Chinese way with herbs. He's very nice, and always busy. He makes excellent use of the large pots heated with charcoal, and his gas burner. On the day we visited, he was cooking a beef-based soup that included the beef penis (see photos).

We didn't sample the soup but came back a few days later and he was making a different herbal stew. He's quite serious about flavor, and appears to do a good business.
