To get here you need to hire a "rot kapaw" for about $1 because it's a 10 minute drive down Thong Lor (returning back cost about $1.20 because it's a longer trip). Located across the street from the Thong Lor police station. It's been here for 15 years, and serves a lot of locals but the Japanese have found this restaurant and occasionally show up in a huge tour bus. The owner told us that when the Japanese tour bus comes, they all get out quick, eat the food as fast as they can, and leave right away! This restaurant serves herbal beef and duck stew which slow-cooks overnight. The beef and duck "melts in your mouth" and the soup is made from every part of the animal (heart, kidney, stomach, etc). The duck here is a special variety they call "Duck Cherry" which is a fine variety that's very tasty. Everything here is extremely tasty, they do not offer mediocre food so you will be very happy with whatever you order. They are open from 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM Daily. Soi Thong Lor. 02-392-0107.
