Entertaining Tour of Or Tor Kor Market

We hope you enjoy this video tour of Or Tor Kor Market, also known as Aor Tor Kor, in Bangkok. Regarded as the most "upscale" open market in Thailand, and renowned as the favorite market of former Prime Minister / Celebrity Chef Samak, everything here is still relatively inexpensive and affordable for area residents. Hundreds of vendors sell everything from fresh meat, seafood, fruit, vegetables, ready-to eat snacks, and prepared Thai meals. The market stalls are clean, you can be confident in the quality of everything offered. We highly recommend visiting this market, if you happen to be in Bangkok. Or Tor Kor is very easy to find (located at a Bangkok subway stop). See our convenient map below in English and Thai. |

2:32 AM Thank you for all your videos. I love watching them. Keep them coming :). The only thing is, I miss Thailand a little more each time I see them. But still nice. No matter where I go, Thailand is always going to be my home. I can't wait to order some of the things I want from here. Thanks again, Meg.

4:24 PM We had a 5 hour layover and went to Or Tor Kor market... we definitely never would have found it without the tip and we ate the best som tum there- actually this might have been the best dish of the whole trip not to mention how neat it was to watch the woman make each batch by hand. Then we used the Saochingcha map over two days, one day we just went to Chote Chitr (probably the best single restaurant that we visited) and another day we tried a few more. We used the map and ate at Shuan Shim, Tien Song Ped Yang, Niyom Pochana and Cafe Boran... we just split a plate at each place but that was enough and we were too stuffed to continue... but we did get sticky rice and mango to go from Kao Neeo Korpanich and that was great too! Now that we are back I am looking forward to ordering the produce needed for Tom Yum! Thanks again.

5:27 AM I went to the Or Tor Kor market today. Thanks for putting it on your website. It was well worth the trip. Your map was perfect for finding the market. This is my 5th trip to Thailand and I wish I had found the market sooner.
