A classic Chinese dipping sauce from Hong Kong, and often used with Thai-inspired dishes. Koon Chun brand is one preferred by chef's--it's a very good quality product. We like to use this as a dipping sauce for fresh spring rolls as well as salmon & green salad spring rolls. It's also a wonderful ingredient as a Hoisin Vinagrette for the Asian green salad. We have a delicious recipe for Chinese red pork which uses hoisin sauce. Hoisin sauce leading flavors are fermented soybeans, sugar, garlic, chiles and vinegar. Ingredients: sugar, vinegar, soyabean, water, salt, wheat flour, garlic, sesame seed, chile, spices & artificial color. Product of Hong Kong.
