Thai Street Vendor Offers Chinese-Style Dumplings With Leek, 'Kui Chai'

Here we can see a sidewalk vendor preparing "kui chai", a Chinese specialty which would be considered a snack food, or an h'orderve. Similar to pot stickers. Made from rice flour and vegetables, it's a very common, so visitors to Thailand interested in street food will likely encounter it. These are usually made with leek as the vegetable, bamboo shoot and taro are popular offerings also. Usually this is a vegetarian snack.

This vendor cooks it here from her cart, and serves them with thin soy sauce and ground chile peppers.
