The origin of the name of the dish comes from the nature of the process of making kaeng kua kling. Roast the meat in a pan. Until the meat is dry and can be rolled around in the pan. Curry paste is added to stir fry with meat. Then add various seasonings. The components of the curry paste are black pepper, dried bird's eye chilli, garlic, galangal, lemongrass, kaffir lime skin, turmeric, and shrimp paste.
