Thai Beef Namtok Salad
In Thai language, nam tok is a waterfall. This dish is usually cooked using a barbeque (the juices drip onto charcoal hence the name waterfall) but you can fry or broil the beef just as well. It should be cooked rare to start with. See our street vendor video lower left, a sidewalk chef prepares it.
Stainless Thai Street Vendor Fork Tongs, $5 Special
Just $5 this week. We discovered these recently in Thailand, and noticed that most Thai street vendors use them on anything being barbecued.
Made of a nice strong hefty stainless by Twin Ray, a brand known for fine materials and workmanship.
At one end is a sharp three-pronged fork, good for jabbing and grabbing meats and the barbecue. The other end has a spoon-like shovel. The pieces are firmly connected together, and this is made to last for years.
Length is 12". Made in Thailand.

Handmade Solid Brass Thai Wok
We are pleased to offer this beautiful, rustic, large solid brass wok which has been entirely pounded and shaped by hand.
The solid brass wok is commonly used in Thai cooking for preparation of various desserts. Brass has certain advantages when cooking sweets. Brass heats evenly, so syrups and candies can be prepared without scorching.
This is a beautiful conversation piece, and we have seen less desirable brass woks made in France selling for well over $100. The handles are handshaped and attached to the wok using brass rivets. We've seen a fashion magazine showing small brass woks as party decorations for flower display, tablewear, etc
