7 Inch Thai Granite Mortar and Pestle
For years we have offered three sizes (6", 7", and 8") and this is the best selling size. When looking at these in person, the 7" is quite a but larger than the 6" and seems a lot closer to the 8"; and it's not needlessly heavy.

The 7" offers the same great performance of a heavy pestle and extremely hard stone to pound in, and is still convenient for smaller kitchens with less counter space.
We used ours recently to make this spicy sauce served with beef.
Capacity is at least 2 cups. The mortar is carved by hand of the same hard granite we've always offered. Photos below of our 6" for comparison, 7" is the same design and a nice step up in size.

Fresh Thai Chilli Garlic Peanut Sauce
This delicious, spicy sauce is very easy to make if you have the right equipment, mainly the granite mortar and pestle which does all the work for you.
In just a few minutes you can pound these together and serve generously with sliced beef, as we did here. Also great with spring rolls.
Try to use mostly red chilli peppers.
