Fresh Thai Basil - New Harvest

We quickly sold out this week but more is coming, great quality fresh Thai basil at a reasonable price from farm to you in 2 days.

Ideal, large leaves and fragrant aroma. Excellent quality fresh Thai basil via 2 Day Express. You get a large bundle, approximately 14 oz.

Thai basil has a unique flavor unlike traditional basil. This is "Horapa" (sweet basil).

Thai Rama Chicken, 'Praram Long Song'

This dish dates to the time of King Rama 5, about 140 years ago. Originally it was made with beef, but nowadays pork and chicken are often used. Praram is a name for the God Rama, or King Rama, in The Ramkian. The Ramakian is the Thai version of an Indian Hundu epic written 2000 years ago. Long Song translates as 'take a shower'.

Thai Jasmine Rice (2024 NEW Crop)

2024 New Crop Rice just arrived! This will be slightly 'wet' and full of fragrance, having a unique newly-harvested character that comes with fresh harvest unlike rice that comes later in the year from storage. We get it straight from Thailand. It's perfectly fine to keep it in your pantry for 2 years or more, but it does have a new harvest character for around 8 weeks so we suggest buying now to experience true "New Crop" rice.

Mama Brand, instant noodles, Thai green curry  1/2 Price

Mama's relatively new instant noodle is green curry flavor, which is very authentic to green curry taste. It comes with a dry spice packet and a packet of green curry paste.

You put both packets in a bowl with the noodles, add 1 cup of boiling water, cover for three minutes and serve. We also added some fresh Thai basil. This meal has mild spice and delicious.

Thai Oyster sauce, Maekrua brand

One of our best selling items, year after year, and we use a lot of it at home ourselves. Use this bottle for generous use on your stir-fry (see recipes using oyster sauce below). One of our favorite non-Thai recipes that uses oyster sauce is pan-fried butter steak, as oyster sauce really enhances natural beef.

Thai Pan-Fried Butter Steak

We learned how to make this steak from a local chef with a very keen sense of taste.

Cooking steak with butter is not new but becoming quite popular.

Oyster sauce and fish sauce are key ingredients but the finished steak doesn't have a hint of Asian flavors -- just a lovely slight sweet garlic glaze and the rich flavor of beef.

Tao Charcoal Burner - Made in Thailand
