Hello Friends - we have been struggling with higher shipping rates due to fuel surcharges so prices have been increased lately, and here we can share some of the increases as well as what's new. Thanks for tuning into our updates, here is the newest:
Authentic Thai Recipe: Squid Pad Ki Mao
Squid Kee Mao is a popular dish served throughout Thailand and it should be served with a high level of chile heat, as we make it here. Use plenty of fresh Thai chile peppers, and also fresh pineapple.
Any fresh basil works well, it doesn't have to be the Thai sweet basil variety.
We show every step here.
Fresh Thai Chile Peppers
We have struggled this winter to get good fresh Thai chillies but now we will have some nice fresh product ready to ship early next week.
Our Thai chiles are grown in the United States and we have a year-round supply. We most often ship mixed green/red Thai chiles, as shown, but on a seasonal basis we may have only green.
Thai Coconut Milk, Aroy-D New Large Box
We have new stock this coming week but it's now $10 higher per case as of yesterday, and shipping is around $6 extra due to high fuel cost. We do not like price hikes but have no choice so in the interest of being honest we are just letting you know.
This is the best quality coconut milk available. Aroy-D is a large company manufacturing a wide variety of products. They produced a national advertising campaign promoting their status as the number one choice of chefs.
Coconut fat is considered a healthy, good fat and we recommend using higher fat milks for best results.
Thai Coconut Cream, Savoy, 14 oz can
No price hikes lately on Savoy. Great product. The brand Savoy is reserved coconut cream. Coconut cream is a top choice for bakers of any dessert recipes that call for coconut milk, and we love coconut cream in khanom krok.

Longans in Syrup, 20 oz can
This native SE Asian fruit is round, about 1" diameter, with white soft pulp. Longan has a perfumy flavor that is delicate and sweet. Eaten as a snack, often served in a bowl with ice cubes. Price is up $1 per can for now, but you get a lot of fruit (large can).
We offer a premium quality large longan packed in easy to open pop lid, this is the best canned longan on the market.

Thai Red Curry Paste - Aroy-D
We just got more Aroy-D red curry paste. A versatile ingredient in so many Thai recipes. This is a "gourmet" red curry from Aroy-d which makes consistently the best authentic food products in Thailand.
Ingredients: dried red chile, garlic, lemongrass, shallot, salt, galangal, kaffir lime peel, coriander seed, cumin powder. Product of Thailand.
Premium Quality Fish Sauce, Oyster Brand, 24 oz bottle

Oyster brand is a mild, elegant fish sauce and we highly recommend it, in a convenient glass bottle.

Dried Shrimps - Thailand
We now have nice 'Medium' size dried shrimp, from Thailand (not Taiwan in the picture, as we have not updated it).
Small, sun dried shrimps are used as in various Thai recipes.
These are the medium/large, highest quality, thus price may seem a bit high. Approximately 300 medium dried shrimp per 3 oz package.
Ingredients: shrimp, salt, artificial color, sulfur dioxide. Product of Thailand.
