Thai Recipe Update / ImportFood

Hello again - welcome back!  Today we have Wai Wai Pad Char back in stock, Sawan chilli paste, Mama Kua Chap, Kaset bean thread, and European Maggi.

Feature Recipe: Back to Basics Thai Fried Rice

Fried rice that everyone loves and curiously few know how to make. Here we break it down into just a few basic steps. With a bit of practice this is easily mastered.

Instant Pad Char Wai Wai = Back in Stock

One our favorite instant noodles, have you tried Pad Char yet?

These instant noodles from Wai Wai are rich with spice (a blend of natural hot chile & citrusy lime flavors).

These instant noodles are eaten "dry" (similar to kee mao). Simply put the noodles into a bowl of hot water and sit for 3 minutes, then drain and add the seasoning powder & paste.

Namprik Sawan, Thai Chili Paste

Namprik is the original Thai chile paste and it's hard to find in the United States. Most Thai people leaving their country don't go without a few jars of their favorite namprik.

We are pleased to offer this premium quality fresh product from Pantainorasingh brand, in a large glass jar.

Sawan means "heaven", and this is a fairly mild chile paste with not overpowering heat.

Thai Kua Chap, Mama Brand

Kua chap is a unique instant soup, as the noodles are made of pure rice flour and cook into a circular shape (like macaroni) and the flavor is mild. Lovely aroma and a distinct elegant spice from white pepper.

A very soothing soup alone, and you can dress it up by adding hard-boiled egg, meat, vegetables, etc. Inside each package is kua chap noodles, and three packets as shown below.

Thai Bean Thread Noodles, Kaset - All Natural

Hard to keep this in stock, and we just have a few cases now, just arrived from Thailand.

Bean Thread Noodles or Mung Bean Vermicelli (also known as glass noodles or cellophane noodles) are not made from a grain flour but from ground mung beans. Nowadays, however, many merchants offer inferior quality glass noodles made with flour not from mung beans.

Maggi Seasoning, Germany

This is highly-sought Maggi for the European market, made in Germany. Packed in a most attractive glass bottle with MAGGI letters embossed on front, and a sophisticated cap that ensures just the right small amount comes out.
