The solid brass wok is commonly used in Thai cooking for preparation of various desserts (we show some favorites).
Brass has certain advantages when cooking sweets. Brass heats evenly, so syrups and candies can be prepared without scorching.
This is a beautiful conversation piece. The handles are handshaped and attached to the wok using brass rivets. We've seen a fashion magazine showing small brass woks as party decorations for flower display, tablewear, etc.

We had sold out of Nampla Wan some months ago, after a popular Thai television soap opera's main character traveled back in time 200 years and introduced Nampla Wan sauce to a group of Thai people who had never tasted it before. The entire show focused on how much they loved eating it with green mango.
This new Nampla Wan just arrived from Thailand and is made of mostly coconut palm sugar.
Authentic Recipe: Thai Yellow Curry Chicken, 'Gaeng Karee Gai'
Yellow curry makes vegetables taste great in our opinion. Here is a basic Thai yellow curry with chicken and potato. It's also good with bell pepper, or any seasonal vegetable of your choice.
