Mungbeans in Sugar Syrup
A very simple and healthy recipe using just mungbeans and sugar. Preparing them fills your kitchen with the lovely scent of cooked mungbeans, a bit like the aroma of a bakery.
We also offer all natural mungbean noodles, and mungbean flour.

- 1 Cup Dried Mung Beans
- 1 Cup White Sugar
- 5 Cups Water
Method for Mungbeans in Sugar Syrup
Look over the beans and discard any bad ones. Wash the beans and soak in warm water for 3 hours or leave overnight. Wash again and drain.
Pour the 5 cups of water in a pot, add the mungbeans, and cook over medium heat until tender (about 30 minutes). Add sugar, and stir until dissolved. Bring to a boil, then remove from heat. Serve hot, enjoy!
